Confidence Advice For Everyone Reading This
Feb 28, 2024Today, 22 years ago, my world shook and then emptied like the last sands falling through a turn of an hourglass. If you've met me reading πππ€π¬ ππ₯ πΎπ€π£πππππ£π©, in Chapter 2, you know why. It's the day I would see everything differently, learn my dad's lessons on building life-long confidence and my mom's lesson on developing resilience. With this picture of my parents, here's a sneak peak from the chapter.
Lessons I learned from my dad on building confidence:
-
βοΈ“Be Sharp as a Tack”
You honor yourself when you care about how you present yourself. This honor shines. People want to be around you, and with that connection you can serve them and do your greatest work. Satisfaction and joy in your life follows.
-
βοΈ“Speak Up”
No mumbling. Use your voice. Say what you know and own it.
-
βοΈ“Your Work Is Service”
What you do in your life is meant to help someone else become more of themselves. No matter what you choose to do, see it as a service to others and give it with excellence.
My mom's resilience lessons follow in the book. Maybe you are going through some big pivots and aren't sure how to show up as yourself. I hope their advice can help you. Meet my Dad, and Mom in my the book at showupconfident.com and let me know if it helped in any small way.
